Minors are welcome until 1PM when accompanied by an adult. After 1PM, the indoor bar is strictly 18+ only, and valid ID is required. Infants who are not yet walking (held by an adult or in a pram) are permitted in our footpath dining area until 7pm, but strictly not inside our bar.

  • What is your Minor's Policy

At our Small Bar, we strive to create a welcoming environment for all our patrons during the day while ensuring a safe, adult-oriented atmosphere in the afternoon and evening. In accordance with NSW liquor laws and to maintain a suitable environment for all guests, we have implemented the following policy regarding minors:

    OUR MINORS POLICY
Minors permitted before 1 PM (Café Hours)

We welcome minors accompanied by an adult to visit the café during the morning until 1PM. During this time, families are welcome to enjoy our food and beverages in a relaxed setting.

No Entry for Minors After 1PM (Bar Hours)

From 1PM onwards, when we transition to bar service, persons under the age of 18 are not permitted on the premises. This applies even if they are accompanied by an adult. Our afternoon and evening service is strictly for adults only.

Infants who are not yet walking (held by an adult or in a pram) are permitted in our footpath dining area until 7pm, but strictly not inside our bar.

    Proof of Age
All patrons entering after 1PM must provide valid identification to confirm they are 18 years or older. Acceptable forms of ID include a driver's license, passport, or NSW Proof of Age card.

    Enforcement
Our staff are trained to enforce this policy consistently. After 1PM, we will respectfully ask anyone under the age of 18, or unable to provide proof of age, to leave the premises.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring that we maintain a family-friendly environment during the day and a vibrant adult setting in the afternoon and evening.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

FAQ - Shop

  • How does it all work at Natural Wine Shop?

We are two complementary businesses side by side:

The Wine Shop: A boutique natural wine store offering tastings and takeaway purchases

The Small Bar: A cozy venue serving drinks with meals where you can sit and enjoy our offerings. See FAQ - Bar below.

  • How do tastings work?

    Tastings are $25 per person.

We share with you three different natural wines, liquor, or beer. Given our products are artisan, & small-batch, the purpose is for you to try new things, perhaps you've never tried before, so you can select products to purchase & consume off-premises.

We also offer free tastings in store. Sign up to our email list to be notified.

  • Can I just order a glass of wine?

Not in the shop, but yes, next door to the bar.

If the bar is fully booked, we do sell second-hand wine glasses for $4 each. You are welcome to purchase a glass & a few of your favourite bottles & take away. Consumption is not permitted in our licensed area which includes in our shop and BYO is NOT permitted at the bar. The shop licence allows us to offer Tastings only.

We do offer half bottles should you wish to limit your portions.

  • How do subscriptions work?

We deliver 3 natural/organic/biodynamic farming and minimal intervention wines from small producers from around the world to your door. We select our wines according to the season.

When you start a subscription with us, your credit card will be charged on the last day of each month and wines will be sent during the first week of the month.

This means if you sign up on the 20th of a month, your credit card will be debited on the 20th of that month, wines posted AND then your card will be debited again on the last day of the month.

  • Where do you deliver subscriptions to?

All over Australia. And we have insurance, signature requirements, and tracking.

Please note, because we are located in a rural area, so you may experience delays.

  • Can I cancel my subscription?

    You bet.

Just like Spotify / Netflix etc. simply login to your account, and cancel at any time.

  • What is your return policy?

Due to the nature of our natural wines being sensitive to the surrounding environment and perishable, we do not offer 'change of mind' refunds. If you believe your wine is faulty, we require the wine to be brought back to the shop within 24 hours from the time of receipt. We ask that you seal the bottle and keep it in the fridge until you bring it to us.

We have had only very small instances where people who are not familiar with natural wine, bring back a bottle thinking it was faulty when it wasn't. Natural wines can look and taste irregular in comparison with conventional wines, including, taste, colour, skin contact in bottle, and length of freshness after opening due to low/no sulphur. It is normal for natural wines to have a slight fermentation fizz when opening - our wines are still ALIVE in the bottle. Please remember they will change with oxygen, so best to drink in 24-48 hours and keep refrigerated after opening if not consumed in the one night.
