Doug Woodward of the Barossa Valley is trekking it out to Burringbar! Come meet the genius behind some of the funkiest, most lip-smacking wines we’ve got in store. He’ll be pouring out glasses of some of our old favourites as well as a few new ones too (fingers crossed).
One of our favourites is CIRRUS - a beautiful Vermentino we think is perfect on a stinking hot summer day.
Doug started making wine out of the spare bedroom in his suburban home in 2018, jump to 2023 and he’s moving across Australia to winemaking country: the Barossa Valley. Using organically grown grapes from sustainable vineyards (with the occasional exception) and wild ferments, he produces his wine in very small batches - super hands on, super hands in! The result is magically unique wine: a beautiful variety of flavours and colours and much unpredictability!
